KinaNOTEBOOKasan V is one of the signature projects of the Interact Club of Culiat High School. It started during the Rotary Year 2015-2016. The first project chairperson and initiator of this project is Imaginative Super President Raisa N. Tunay of the Rotaract Club of Culiat, when she was the Secretary of the Interact Club of Culiat High School.
KinaNOTEBOOKasan received tons of citations from Rotary International District 3780. This project was initiated by the Interact Club of Culiat High School. It aims to help students who do not have a complete set of notebooks. It will reduce the burden of parents on their children’s school supplies. It also aims to reduce paper waste.
Instead of throwing away old notebooks, Interactors and Rotaractors think of a way to give new value to the old ones.
During the pre-pandemic year, the Interactors and Rotaractors of Culiat collected old notebooks with the help of the Values department of Culiat High School. When they collected a sufficient number of notebooks, they started upcycling the old notebooks. They covered the notebooks with bondpaper and put an inspirational message on it to motivate the recipients.
Some of the upcycled notebooks were given to deserving students, while the remaining notebooks will be part of the Interact Club of Culiat High School and Rotaract Club of Culiat’s school supplies pantry.
