During the day of inauguration of the International Rotaract Summit, almost hundred Rotaractors from Philippines and Malaysia convened to witness the commencement.
Rotaractors in the Asia-Pacific, representing their respective clubs and districts, appeared in the virtual setting. These young volunteers were nominated by their District Rotaract Representatives whom they believe are qualified to partake in the six episodes of the conference.
Inside the breakout rooms, participating Rotaractors have introduced themselves before sharing the advocacies they support, which are connected to the 7 causes of the Rotary International. Aside from meeting new Rotaract friends, some of the delegates reconnected with personalities, who are members of their twin clubs.
This summit aims to make the Rotaractors conscious on the pressing that exist in their communities and be the change-makers by creating a project proposals, aligned to the simplified version of Global Grant application. The delegates were then guided by the technical advisers from the Rotary Foundation through series of discussions by sharing the fundamentals of the 7 areas of focus.
