The Rotaract Club of Millennial Sampaguita Grace Park of Rotary International District 3800 hosted its first dating app-themed career orientation webinar, titled ‘Swipe Right: Finding Out Your Perfect Career Match,’ on October 2, 2021, in collaboration with the Interact Clubs of Potrero National High School and Macario B. Asistio Sr. High School. This project aims to enlighten graduating academic students on how to select the best career path for them.

Project Chair Rotaractor Arlo Manalastas and his team, over headed by Life Changing President Robin Justine Recio bring the event to success by inviting three successful speakers in their respective fields. Dr. Billy S. Ignacio – a Medical Specialist III, Head of Occupational Health Services and Benefit Technical Assistance Office at PhilHealth Regional Office, NCR, Ms. Trisha C. Garin – a Reporter at Panahon TV, and Mr. Barry H. Dio – a Principal at Our Lady of Fatima University – Valenzuela Campus – are all different in many ways, but they all have shared insight that is one thing in common: “Follow your passion”. After all, the three have been the living proof of the adage, “If you do what you love, you’ll never work a day in your life.”

Mrs. Sophia Conopio Gapayao, adviser of the Macario B. Asistio Sr. High School Interact Club, and Mr. AJ Carpio, student, expressed their gratitude by saying, “Thank you so much to all the resource speaker in the last Swipe Right Webinar! The students from our school were highly motivated from the Career Orientation and Work Experience that they shared!!!”, “I am inspired to further work hard in achieving my dreams and goals in life as I had listened to the story of our speakers.” respectively. Truly, the success of this event was measured not by the number of participants achieved, but by the number of participants who were inspired and motivated to strive for more.
