In a testament to the power of community-driven initiatives and dedication to education, the Rotaract Club of Tuguegarao Citadel proudly announces the return of ‘Project Gabay,’ a free Civil Service Exam review program that has already made a significant impact in its first year and is now set to continue as a flagship annual program.

Tuguegarao City Council, Hon. Tirso Mangada during his message expressed gratitude for this partnership and shared that the purpose of review sessions is to help them avail this for free and encourage everyone especially the youth to work in the government and assist in the delivery of public services.

‘Project Gabay,’ an initiative spearheaded by the Rotaract Club of Tuguegarao Citadel, offers aspiring civil servants an invaluable opportunity to prepare comprehensively for the Civil Service Examination, a crucial step in their careers. Launched a month before the actual examination, this program aims to provide participants with the knowledge and skills necessary for success.

Over fifty exam-takers registered for the first review session, including private & government employees and fresh graduates from different universities residing in Tuguegarao City and nearby Municipalities. The topic on the first review session was discussed by PMAJ. Arlene M. Javier, the Asst.Chief/Chief, Scorecard Mgt & Alignment Section / Action Officer Regional Police Strategy Management Unit of Police Regional Office 2 for her subject expertise in Verbal Ability.

The program covers a wide range of essential topics, including but not limited to general knowledge, logical reasoning, numerical ability, and English proficiency. These subjects are at the heart of the Civil Service Examination, making ‘Project Gabay’ an indispensable resource for those looking to excel in the test.

Rotaract President Lenierose G. Baral, who has been instrumental in the success of ‘Project Gabay,’ praised the dedication and enthusiasm displayed by all participants. She noted, “The dedication and enthusiasm shown by all the participants have been truly inspiring. The eagerness to learn and the commitment to self-improvement are reassuring and commendable.”

Rotaract Club of Tuguegarao Citadel Officers and members distributed snacks for a 10-minute break per session donated by the Office of the City Councilor Tirso Mangada and Rotary Club of Tuguegarao Citadel.

Now in its second year, ‘Project Gabay’ is poised to continue its mission of empowerment and community service. The program’s longevity speaks to its effectiveness and the Rotaract Club’s commitment to education and community development.

In its noble endeavor, ‘Project Gabay’ has garnered the support of valuable partners such as Sierra Falcones, Cagayan State University, and the Office of Tuguegarao City Councilor Tirso Mangada. This collaborative effort underscores the importance of community and institutional support in advancing the educational opportunities of aspiring civil servants.

The last session was discussed by Engr. Mark Djeron Tumabao of Philippine Information Agency (PIA) Region 2 for his subject expertise in Numerical Ability.
