Headed by Club President Vanessa Valdez together with Vice President Kristi Mari Ayangdan the webinar took place via Zoom meeting and can be accessed via Facebook live. Aspiring entrepreneurs and students of SLU attended the said event with three guest speakers inspiring and motivating them.

Ms Macatulad on how she handle fears, struggles, and challenges: “Despite those challenges there are also things that motivated me even though I am so tired”

The first guest speaker, Marvie Macatulad, a 4th year Marketing student of Saint Louis University also the owner and founder of VintageChic. VintageChic is an online fashion shop mainly operating in Instagram, it sells thrifted and upcycled items personally picked and designed by the owner. The business started way back when Ms. Macatulad was in Senior High when she decluttered her closet and decided to sell the preloved items to her close friends and social media friends. Being independent and her love for fashion are what inspire her in pursuing this business. However, just like any other business owners she also has fears, struggles and challenges. Ms. Marvie said consistency is a must in order to increase customer retention. She used sustainable materials for her packaging and that served as her Corporate Social Responsibility to use only biodegradable materials. Exploring new ideas is her way of expressing herself as an artist. Hard work pays off creating a business is not a one day plan it takes time, dedication, and perseverance.
