“Talent can’t be taught, but it can be awakened.”
An image is an asset; beauty indeed comes within but to achieve trust in your audience, you must first establish the identity from the people’s eyes—your public image. To create a reliable and presentable publication material, one must consider the best strategy to put together all the vital elements of a good image; the logo, the color palette, the typography, and other graphical standards of a design. By carrying these principles, they make a huge impact on an organization, especially in embodying a Rotaract District.

To fulfill this responsibility, the Rotaract Club of San Pascual, of RI District 3820, conducted a webinar via Google Meet last September 27, 2021, entitled “Basic Design and Graphic Layout Using Canva”, with the guidance of the chairpersons; PDS Ornald Tabares Jr. And CS Krischelle Garcia. Through this workshop, RACSP aims to gain knowledge about the basic designing and graphic lay-outing using the online tool, Canva and to impart knowledge to the district rotaractors about what the Public Image does.

Serving the RACSP for years now, President Nominee Emmanuel Marasigan accepted the challenge as the speaker-invitee for the webinar. Through his skills, he demonstrated his lecture through a PowerPoint presentation with the content of basic color symbols and codings, Canva application maneuvering, formatting and standardization, and layout presentation. The webinar was a success as the 14 aspiring graphic-designer Rotaractor attendees were able to gain knowledge and ideas on how to utilize the Canva for designing and lay-outing.

As part of the post-execution of this initiative, the RACSP posted the project on all social media accounts; such as on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Furthermore, to assess all the Rotaractors who participated, every attendee/non-attendee was highly encouraged to layout one (1) infographic material for the Teachers’ Day celebration last October 5, 2021.
Manpower is also an important aspect of representing a good public image. The good skill of a mentor must be harnessed to encourage more people who will continue to build the essential materials for the organization and one who can awaken one’s passion.
