Defeating COVID-19: Eradicating Vaccine Misconceptions (in Hiligaynon & English)

Sa padayon nga pagluntad sang COVID-19 nga pandemya nga amo ang isa ka mayor nga kabangdanan sang kamatayon sang madamo nga tawo sa bug-os nga kalibutan kag naga pakita sang dako nga panghangkat sa ikaayong lawas sang katawhan, naga kinahanglan sang mas mabakod nga ihibalo sang insakto kag kompleto nga impormasyon nahanungod sa pag-pabakuna kag pagsulundan para sa ikaayong lawas (Health Protocol) ang gina kinahanglan.

Agod na ma hatagan sang nagaka-igo nga sabat, ang Rotaract Club of Bacolod North nga ginbuylogan sang USLS Tambal sang College of Medicine kaupod sang RAC Dipolog, RAC Iloilo West, RAC Granada kag RAC Metro Kidapawan and nag hiwat sang una nga sesyon sang COVID-19 Webinar Series.

Ginatig-ulohan nga “Defeating COVID-19: Eradicating Vaccine Misconception” ang katuyuan sini nga webinar, amo ang pag tadlong kag pag-edukar sang indi insakto nga pag-hangop nahanungod sa COVID-19 kag sang bakuna. Gin pangunahan nanday PDRR Joy Ardiente kag PP Jason Queliza bilang taga-pamuno sang proyekto. Ang webinar ginhiwat sang Agosto 28, 2021 kag gintambongan sang nanarisari nga sektor sang sosyodad lakip na ang mga estudyante nga ga tuon sang medisina, mga lideres sa ila komunidad kag mga rotaractors.

The fight against the rising cases of COVID19 requires raising awareness about the facts and benefits of different vaccines. It is of utmost importance that in eradicating the virus, we must also eradicate vaccine myths and misconceptions.

Ang webinar nag hatag sang komprehinsibo nga pag-tuon liwat nahanungod sa COVID-19 kag pagsulundan sa ika-ayong lawas nga nag hatag sang nagaka-igo nga sabat nahanungod sa indi insakto nga pag-hangop kag ihibalo nga gin paathag sang nanarisari nga dinapit nga mga manughambal: Dr. Chris Sorongon sang Medical Deputy of the Emergency Operation Center sang Siyudad sang Bacolod kag si Dr. Mark John Daniel Brodith, sang Doctor to the Barrio and Municipal Health Officer-in-Charge sang Munisipalidad sang Jose Dalman, Zamboanga, Del Norte.

“Ang bakuna epiktibo. Ang bakuna naga luwas”, suno kay Dr. Chris Sorongon, ginapahanumdom sa tanan nga sa pag-pabakuna, bayani ka. Ang kaalam makaluwas sa tawo.

As the Covid-19 pandemic continues leading to a dramatic loss of human life worldwide and presents challenges to public health, a need for reinforcement of correct and complete information about Vaccination and Health Protocols are needed.

To address this, the Rotaract Club of Bacolod North, in partnership with USLS Tambal of the College of Medicine co-hosted by RAC Dipolog, RAC Iloilo West, RAC Granada and RAC Metro Kidapawan conducted the first session of its Covid-19 Webinar Series, “Defeating COVID-19: Eradicating Vaccine Misconception”. This aims to educate and correct misconceptions about Covid-19 and Vaccination. Led by PDRR Joy Ardiente and PP Jason Queliza as Project heads, the webinar was held last August 28, 2021 and was attended by different sectors including medical students, community leaders and rotaractors.

The webinar provided a comprehensive review of Covid 19, addressing the misconception about Vaccination and Health Protocol brought by the respective speakers:  Dr. Chris Sorongon, Medical Deputy of the Emergency Operations Center of Bacolod City and Dr. Mark John Daniel Brodith, Doctor to the Barrio and Municipal Health Officer-in-Charge of the Municipality of Jose Dalman, Zamboanga Del Norte. 

 “Vaccination Works. Vaccination Saves” shares Doc Chris Sorongon reminding everyone it’s with becoming vaccinated that you became a hero.
