The Rotaract Club of Makati United was the first to know that the Philippines will host the Presidential Conference 2021 because the chairperson is Past District Governor Edna Sutter, also the charter president of the Rotary Club of Fort Bonifacio Global City. Earlier, PDG Edna had already encouraged us that we would attend this conference and as far as possible, 100% of our members would be able to attend. We accepted this challenge but not the achievement of 100% members being able to register.
Ever since, our main problem in the club is financial support because most of our members are still students. So, when we have a project, we always have a fundraising activity to carry out our project. But it didn’t stop us because all of our members came together and helped each other to help other people and to change lives.
However, upon accepting this challenge, we planned to do group registration and only 6 of our members initially paid P250 to register.
Until this 23rd of August, 2021, the Rotary Presidential Conference Manila 2021 Facebook Page announced that the Rotary Club of Fort Bonifacio Global City under the leadership of Life-Changing President Jan Emil Langomez, had achieved 100% registration of his member for the said conference. Because of this, this is great and good news for us. The 40 members of RAC Makati United are now free for the Presidential Conference 2021.
But we have another problem, we only have 24 official members and how can we complete the remaining 16. Fortunately, our club has a team made up of prospect members. We gradually prepare, train, and engage prospect members in Rotaract activities before they become official members of RAC Makati United. As such, we no longer hesitate to pick up the free 40 slots for our club members.
On the 1st of September, 2021, the Rotary Presidential Conference 2021 Manila Facebook Page officially announced that the Rotaract Club of Makati United has achieved 100% registration of its members. In addition, the club will also be provided with 40 limited edition commemorative pins and a certificate signed by Rotary International President Shekhar Mehta. Our club also achieved the record as the first Rotaract Club to achieve 100% club member registration.
RAC Makati United wants to be an inspiration to all Rotarians and Rotaractors. It encourages Rotary Clubs to also achieve 100% club registration so that their sponsored Rotaract Club also has access to the conference. Our club also encourages Rotaract Clubs to register to experience only the BEST, which will only be experienced at this conference.
Therefore, the entire Rotaract Club of Makati United is ready to experience the BEST at the Rotary Presidential Conference 2021 Manila on November 26-28, 2021.
