A Legacy of Action: World Rotaract Week 2026

The recently concluded World Rotaract Week offered a momentous opportunity for the Rotary community to honor its past while actively shaping its future. This annual observance commemorates the chartering of the very first Rotaract club – the Rotaract Club of the University of North Carolina, on March 13, 1968. In the 58 years since that first charter, what began as a pilot program has transformed into a global force for good. For the Philippine districts, this year’s celebration was particularly significant as it showcased the deepening synergy between Rotaractors and Rotarians, who now serve as equal partners in leadership.

The Rotaract Club of Bolinao, in partnership with the Rotary Club of Bolinao, SK Barangay Luciente 1st, and the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority Region I, conducted a Community Economic Development Project on March 15 at Luciente 1 Covered Court through a one-day skills training on flower arrangement, crochet, and artificial flower crafting.

The celebration centered on the milestone of World Rotaract Day on March 13th, a date that symbolizes the official inauguration of Rotary in Action. Since the 2019 elevation of Rotaract to a membership type, our role within the organization has shifted from being beneficiaries of mentorship to becoming co-creators of change. This April, as we review the projects and fellowships shared during the anniversary week, it is clear that the distinction between youth and adult service is fading, replaced by a unified commitment to the Rotary brand.

Big hearts showing love through Project ArangKadamay! Rotaract Club of Pamantasan ng Muntinlupa-MBD and 60 riders uniting for World Rotaract Week, gifting nutritious meals as a token of gratitude. Together, we stand by those who serve us – because strong communities lift everyone up!
In celebration of World Rotaract Week, “Project ArangKadamay” was held at LRT-1 Dr. Santos Station in Parañaque City, where packed meals and rider essentials were given to 60 delivery and Angkas riders.

Looking forward, the success of this year’s World Rotaract Week serves as a springboard for our upcoming year-end goals. The initiatives launched last month, ranging from community health programs to environmental advocacy, demonstrate that our impact is not confined to a single week. Instead, it is a continuous testament to the “Unite for Good” that we create when we work together across generations.

On March 13, 2026, the Rotaract Club of Pulilan Diamonds conducted a health outreach program, distributing essential medicines and multivitamins to families in the innermost parts of Brgy. Inaon, Sta. Peregrina, and Balatong B.
