As part of its continued commitment to supporting inclusive education, the Rotaract Club of Metro Bacolod visited the Alternative Learning System (ALS) Center to engage with learners and gain a deeper understanding of their educational journeys. The visit served not only as an opportunity to strengthen partnerships with the ALS community but also to create meaningful conversations with students preparing to take their next steps after graduation.

During the visit, a reflective counseling and dialogue session was facilitated with the graduating batch of ALS learners, together with Visiting President Ram Vincent Vasquez. The session encouraged students to openly share their personal stories—who they are, how they came to be part of the ALS program, and the experiences that shaped their decision to continue their education through this alternative pathway.

The discussion also focused on the learners’ plans for the future, allowing them to express their hopes, aspirations, and possible directions in the coming months. Whether considering further education, employment opportunities, or personal development goals, the session created a supportive space where students could reflect on their progress and prepare for life beyond the ALS program.
Equally important was the opportunity to listen to the learners’ insights about how ALS helped them regain confidence and reconnect with their educational goals. Their stories highlighted how flexible and inclusive learning systems can empower individuals who once faced barriers in traditional education.

Through meaningful dialogue and shared moments of fellowship, the Rotaract Club of Metro Bacolod reaffirmed its commitment to supporting community-based education initiatives—recognizing that sometimes, the most impactful form of service begins simply by listening, guiding, and encouraging others toward brighter opportunities.
