The Pilipinas Rotaract Multi-District Information Organization (MDIO) – International Service Team successfully conducted the ROTARACT INTERNATIONAL SERVICE EXCHANGE 2025 (RISE) UP PILIPINAS, a three-day learning and collaboration initiative held on October 25, November 8, and November 29, 2025. The program aimed to strengthen international service, build global partnerships, and empower Rotaractors to expand their impact beyond national borders.
The event gathered Rotaract leaders, club presidents, and International Service Directors from different districts across the Philippines, together with international Rotaract partners, to exchange best practices, develop meaningful collaborations, and deepen the understanding of global service initiatives within the Rotaract movement. The activity was spearheaded by Program Chair PP Mark Ababao, Deputy Chief International Service Officer of MDIO, whose leadership helped bring together Rotaractors from different parts of the world in a shared commitment to service above self.
Day 1: Virtual Learning and Global Sharing (October 25, 2025)
The first day of the program was conducted via Zoom, bringing together participants from different Rotaract districts and international clubs. The session opened with “Core’s Identity: Branding, Culture, and Experiences,” delivered by PE Reynante “DJ Kingly” Romposon, President-Elect of the Rotary Club of Pagsanjan and Rotary Public Image Coordinator for Zone 10A. His talk highlighted the importance of establishing a strong organizational identity through effective branding, a meaningful club culture, and impactful member experiences that contribute to a stronger Rotaract presence.

Following the keynote session, participants engaged in Breakout Sessions titled “District Dialogues: Strengthening International Service.” These discussions were facilitated by the ten District International Service Coordinators, providing a platform for participants to exchange ideas, discuss challenges, and explore opportunities for improving international service initiatives within their respective districts.

The day concluded with the Panel Session: “Expanding the Global Reach: Sharing Best Practices Internationally,” moderated by PP Mark Ababao. The panel featured international Rotaractors from Sweden, the United States, India, and New Zealand, who shared their experiences and successful international service projects. Their insights provided valuable perspectives on establishing global partnerships, sustaining international collaborations, and implementing service initiatives that transcend geographical boundaries.
Day 2: Virtual Engagement and Rotaract Clubs’ Showcase (November 8, 2025)
The second day of the program continued through virtual engagement via Zoom, further strengthening connections among Rotaractors and international partners. A key highlight of the day was the Rotaract Clubs’ Showcase, where participating clubs presented their flagship projects, best practices, and innovative international service initiatives.

This showcase provided a platform for knowledge sharing and inspiration, allowing participants to learn from one another’s experiences and explore potential areas for collaboration. It also highlighted the diversity, creativity, and impact of Rotaract clubs across different districts, reinforcing the importance of collaboration in achieving meaningful and sustainable international service.
Day 3: Face-to-Face Learning and Partnership Building (November 29, 2025)
The final day of RISE UP PILIPINAS was conducted face-to-face, allowing Rotaractors to deepen their connections and solidify collaborative efforts for international service.
The program featured the session “Maintaining Club’s Connection,” delivered by PP Summer Bonifacio, which emphasized the importance of sustaining strong communication and relationships among Rotaract clubs, particularly in maintaining international partnerships.

This was followed by “Making an Impact, Internationally,” presented by PP Mark Ababao, which focused on developing impactful international service initiatives and maximizing opportunities for global collaboration among Rotaract clubs.
One of the highlights of the event was the Twin Club Signing Ceremony, where participating Rotaract clubs from the ten Rotaract districts in the Philippines formalized partnerships with fellow Rotaract clubs, both locally and internationally. This initiative aims to foster long-term collaboration, promote cultural exchange, and strengthen Rotaract’s commitment to international service.

Through RISE UP PILIPINAS, the MDIO International Service Team successfully created a platform that empowered Rotaractors to build stronger global networks, share best practices, and develop collaborative service initiatives. The program reaffirmed Rotaract’s dedication to expanding international service opportunities and strengthening partnerships that contribute to meaningful and sustainable community impact worldwide.
