In every community, mothers carry stories of strength—quiet, enduring, and often unseen. At Buntis Day 2026, those stories took center stage.
Organized by the Rotaract Club of Lucena South and the Rotary Club of Lucena South, in partnership with the Philippine Obstetrical and Gynecological Society – Southern Tagalog Chapter and Calayan Educational Foundation, Inc. – College of Medical Technology, the initiative became more than just a health program—it became a celebration of life, care, and community.

With the theme “Traditional Roots and Innovation in Nurturing Mothers,” the event welcomed over 250 pregnant women into a space where they were not only cared for but truly valued.
From the moment they arrived, expectant mothers were met with warmth and support. A wide range of free medical services was made available—prenatal consultations, ultrasound services, HIV screening, blood sugar testing, and blood pressure monitoring. Essential laboratory tests such as hemoglobin/hematocrit (Hgb/Hct) and ABO Rh typing were also provided, ensuring that each mother received comprehensive care.

Behind every service was a network of dedicated healthcare professionals and volunteers working together with one shared purpose: to make quality maternal care accessible.
But Buntis Day was not only about medical assistance—it was about creating an experience.
Each mother received natal care kits and essential vitamins, small yet meaningful reminders that their health and well-being matter. Around the venue, laughter echoed as participants joined interactive activities, raffle draws, and the much-anticipated Mrs. Buntis 2026—a highlight that brought joy, confidence, and celebration to every participant.

For a day, the usual worries of pregnancy were replaced with smiles, connection, and a sense of belonging.
More importantly, the event created a safe space where mothers felt seen and heard. It empowered them with knowledge, supported them with resources, and reminded them that they are not alone in their journey.

Buntis Day 2026 stands as a powerful example of what happens when service goes beyond obligation and becomes compassion in action.
Because at its heart, this initiative was not just about healthcare—it was about honoring motherhood, uplifting women, and nurturing the future—one life at a time.
