Held last October 18, 2025, the Sta. Monica Parish Pastoral Center in Poblacion, Angat, Bulacan was transformed into a hub of quiet heroism. While the primary goal of the project was to replenish local blood banks, the atmosphere felt less like a clinical appointment and more like a warm town gathering. Volunteers moved with a clear sense of purpose, guiding nervous first-time donors through the process with smiles and steadying words. For both clubs, the initiative was about more than filling bags with blood; it was about fostering a deep sense of shared responsibility within the municipality.

The event drew a remarkable cross-section of society, seeing a diverse cast of volunteers from all corners of the community standing side-by-side. Among the donors were uniformed personnel from the 70th Infantry Battalion of the Philippine Army who traded their tactical gear for rolled-up sleeves, demonstrating that their commitment to protecting the public extends far beyond the badge. The project was further bolstered by the dedicated staff of the Angat LGU-Rural Health Unit (RHU) and the Bulacan Provincial Blood Center, whose medical expertise ensured the safety and comfort of every participant. This spirit of cooperation extended even further as Local Cooperatives and various Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) mobilized their members, proving that when the call for help is issued, the town’s organizations answer in unison. Each donation contributed to the vital task of replenishing local blood banks, strengthening the lifeline for patients who rely on safe and timely transfusions during medical emergencies.
