In celebration of World Rotaract Week, Project ArangKadamay was held at LRT-1 Dr. Santos Station in Parañaque City, reaching out to delivery and Angkas riders who continuously serve the community. This initiative, focused on peacebuilding, conflict prevention, and community economic development, provided packed meals and rider essentials to 60 riders waiting in the area, offering a simple yet meaningful gesture of support.

UGP Ella of RAC Parañaque St. Andrew engaged in a meaningful conversation with riders, listening to their experiences and challenges—including the impact of rising oil prices on their daily livelihood and income.

Preparation for the project was a shared effort among volunteers, who worked together in packing meals and organizing essentials to ensure smooth distribution. Each pack represented not only assistance but also appreciation for the riders’ dedication and hard work. Despite the fast-paced nature of their job, the project created a moment for them to pause and feel recognized.

More than the distribution, the heart of Project ArangKadamay was in the conversations that took place. Volunteers took time to listen to the riders’ stories, learning about the challenges they face daily—from long hours on the road to unpredictable conditions. These interactions made the experience more personal and meaningful, turning the activity into a two-way exchange of support and understanding.

Rotaractors personally hands over a meal pack, symbolizing gratitude and recognition for the rider’s hard work.

Through these moments, volunteers gained a deeper appreciation of the riders’ resilience, patience, and commitment. In return, the riders felt seen and valued beyond their role in the community.

Project ArangKadamay highlighted that service goes beyond giving—it is about connection, empathy, and learning from one another, creating a lasting impact grounded in unity and shared humanity.
