Padayon! – As inspiring as it sounds, the word means to continue and to move forward. Despite any difficulties, it is important to keep going. This October, the Rotaract Club of Batangas Mid-West conducted a project to help teachers and students in primary education to keep moving forward amidst the modular learning because of the pandemic. It is not easy for everyone to cope up and adjust with the new normal but with help, we are all able to move forward together.
Ever since online classes have started, elementary schools are in need of bond papers for the distribution of modules to students. Hence, the donations of reams of bond paper and mega boxes to Buli Elementary School, Lemery Pilot Elementary School, Taal Central School and Taal National High School. The donated supplies were bought from the proceeds of the webinar series, Padayon, which was held in September in celebration of the Basic Education and Literacy month. This project serves as an inspiration that we bring people with us as we go forward and continue. The webinar was for the students to move forward, as well as the donations. Moreover, the project portrays how small actions can make a difference. In the future, these students will become part of a change. As Rotaractors, we think, we feel and we act altogether to be of service to others and we continue to provide help and support to numerous people. The small steps go a long way to make a big change.
