I am Michelle Gomez, 29 years old from Madapdap Resettlement, Pampanga. I am one of the graduates of the Free English Language and Call Center Training program of Rotaract Club of Mabalacat-Clark and Pampanga Manpower Training Center last 2017. Before I joined the training, I was a housewife. I decided to register for the free training because I want to prove to myself and to others that I can be more than a housewife. Being a housewife and a mother is the biggest and toughest job in the world but I want to look for a new career and transform myself from once a stay-at-home mom to a full-time employee.
Through this Rotaract program, I have learned many things that have helped me to cope in the BPO world. The training was able to enhance and improve my skills. I became more confident when it comes to communicating to others using English. The tips and advice that our trainer provided during the training really helped me on how to grow while working in a call center industry.
I have no previous call center experience, a complete fresher but with the skill that I have developed from the training, I was immediately hired as a Customer Service Representative after I completed the training. And now I have been working at Sutherland Global Services for more than three years and then last October 2020, I was promoted as a Trainer.
I am very thankful to the Rotaract Club of Mabalacat-Clark and Pampanga Manpower Training Center for giving me the opportunity to grow and work in an industry where I can experience superb compensation and secure benefits for me and my family. The knowledge that me and my co-trainees attained during the training helped us to survive in the Business Process Outsourcing industry. I will always cherish the learnings and memories I acquire from the English Language and Call Center Training.
