Another milestone in Rotaract is the formation of the FIRST Rotaract Club in District 3800 and the SECOND Rotaract Club in the Philippines that is jointly sponsored by Rotary and Rotaract – Rotaract Club of University of Caloocan City – College of Business and Accountancy.

The club, chartered on July 29, 2021, was sponsored by the Rotary Club of Kalookan North and Rotaract Club of New Rise Kalookan North. The club was led by Charter President Jhomarie Esturis.

“When our university adviser offer me the opportunity to be the charter President, I had mixed emotions. To be honest, I am very excited and curious about running a Rotaract Club. I am very thankful for my sponsoring Rotary and Rotaract Club for the overwhelming support. I know this position got a lot of pressure but at the end of the day we will just serve and deliver. Together with RAC UCC-CBA, we will serve to change lives,” Esturis added.

For LCP Roy Navarro of RC Kalookan North, he’s really excited with the birth of the new Rotaract Club. “I am really excited with RAC UCC-CBA because I saw a great potential with this club. Most of the members are very active both academic and extra-curricular. This is another achievement of RAC New Rise Kalookan North and Rotary Club of Kalookan North as well.”

“This is definitely one of the best Rotaract Club in the making. On behalf of RAC New Rise Kalookan North, we’ll surely support our very own RAC UCC-CBA,” shared LCP John Vince Ortiz of RAC New Rise Kalookan North.

During the chartering time, the club also tackled the Elevate Rotaract which takes effect next year. Rotaract’s elevated status within the organization was approved by Rotary’s Council on Legislation in 2019 as part of an ongoing effort of Elevate Rotaract Program.
