Across borders and throughout dispersed continental areas, the imbibed spirit of Service Above Self has always been cautiously enacted by the Rotaractors in any parts of the world. The impressive takes of the young Rotaract leaders on the existing community plights have continuously echoed innovative persistence that led communities experience hope despite adversities. With the various rising advancements on initiatives, educating clubs to realize their potentials is a core mission that the Rotary International has appraised in establishing the Rotary Learning Center.

Learning and Resources Manager Kimberly Kouame discusses the customization section of the Rotary Learning Center portal which includes the individual and district section tabs

The Rotary Learning Center is an exclusive online educational platform which offers courses and training materials for skill development, project enhancements, and other relevant Rotary topics that could help elevate Rotaractors and their respective club’s exposures in their Rotary lane. Accessibility-wise, one must first sign in at My Rotary to be led to the Learning and Reference: Learning Center. The Rotary International (RI) registered members are the ones who are solely privileged to the site’s contents and services.

The RLC’s efficiency has been distinctively acknowledged as its resources were translated to more than 20 languages which had created inclusivity among its users. Besides, a personal progress tracker is seen to check one’s phase in taking the different enrolled programs and catalogs through the virtual badges and leaderboard. Additional materials such as links, web pages, and powerpoint presentations are, too, made free to be uploaded.

As the Rotary Learning Center brings diverse members together virtually, the recent Rotaract Outstanding Project Awards (ROPA) 2021 Winners─ Rotaract Club of Islamabad, Bangladesh (South Asian Region), Rotaract Club of Zamboanga City West, Philippines (Asia Pacific Region), Rotaract of Tortola, British Virgin Islands, Canada, Caribbean (USA Region), Rotaract Club of Itabuna Universitarios, Brazil (Latin America Region), and Rotaract Club of Bukit Bintang, Malaysia─ had convened for an e-coordination meeting last July 27, 2021. The online assembly, embodied by each club representative, had welcomed the idea of conducting a webinar on the RLC as to bring afresh and closer to the Rotaractors and their clubs the landscape of professional growth and development in promoting quality acts of service.

The Rotary Learning Center webinar had commenced on July 30, 2021 with the Rotaract Club of Islamabad, Bangladesh as the main host and co-hosted by the Rotaract Club of Zamboanga City West. The grand activity was graced by the Learning and Resources Manager Kimberly Kouame of the Rotary International as the session speaker. The focal gist of the talk was to reintroduce what the learning center is, its functions, one’s grasps while on the platform, and emphasizing every Rotaractor’s role in improving oneself by enrolling on the Rotary programs that could assist in learning the art of progress and its perennial impacts on the personal and social hierarchy. The initiative of the ROPA 2021 winners on this note has become an avenue for the many internationally collaborated Rotaract projects that could transpire soon in more massive purposes through the RLC.

Across borders and throughout dispersed continental areas, learning and progress are limitless with the Rotary Learning Center.
