Our Journey of Transforming Pilipinas Rotaract

By Louie de Real | Posted on June 21, 2021

Rotary Year 2020-2021 may not be the kind of term that Rotaract club, district and MDIO leaders have envisioned but we still managed, as one country, one Rotaract, to pull-off a historic year despite the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Rotary Year 2020-2021 was indeed a year of transformation. We capitalized on technology to pioneer new and even more exciting ways to engage Rotaractors across different Philippine islands. We also resorted to technology and even our creativity to deliver services to our beloved communities. We helped communities affected by the socio-economic impacts of the pandemic and we made them feel that we are with them even if we are far.

Rather than invoking the negative atmosphere during the pandemic, Filipino Rotaractors projected positivity and served as bearers of hope. We pushed ourselves to be strong because other people will look up to us for strength. We remained committed to our fellowship through the service motto that fueled our transformation journey towards making Rotaract in our clubs, in our districts and in the Philippines even better.

As we close Rotary Year 2020-2021, let us be reminded of our heroic deeds to do service above self, to elevate Rotaract, and to transform lives and communities amidst the most difficult time. As a leader of Pilipinas Rotaract, I am very proud of what Filipino Rotaractors have demonstrated in this trying time.

Even after the close of this Rotary year, I hope Rotaractors will continue or even become more passionate in serving and being instruments in changing lives. The next Rotary year presents a lot of opportunities. The doors of opportunities will never be closed, let’s leave these open and find more doors to open.

Mabuhay ang Pilipinas Rotaract!
