Online Multiplayer Games to Consider in Your Next Virtual Fellowships

By Clyde Santes | Posted on June 7, 2021

The COVID-19 pandemic has challenged us from conducting fellowship activities in a usual physical setting. We then migrated online and fellowship activities were conducted via video conferencing platforms. However, if virtual activities tend to be repetitive, people will lose interest. There are platforms that can provide loads of fun and enjoyment for everyone such as online video games (need I say more?).

Yes, everyone may not be a hardcore gamer but it is a misconception to think that video games are difficult and require prior experience. There are some easy and still enjoyable online games that can entertain even the newest of players. Just like a virtual room, they can even host multiple players to join in the fun; thus, giving us Rotaractors a new way to bond with our fellow club or even family members.

Here are a few games to consider:

Overcooked

In Overcooked!, you and your fellow players (a maximum of four) are tasked with running a busy kitchen to serve hungry customers with the challenge lying in each level’s impractical location. Think Diner Dash but even more troublesome. Run a kitchen on a hot air balloon? Sure! How about atop two moving trucks? Yes! In a construction zone, dodging debris? Why not! This game will not only test how you work with others while stressed, but also how you can adapt in any situation. Overcooked! is available to buy on video game digital distribution service Steam.

Stardew Valley

Stardew Valley reimagines you as the owner of a quaint and simple farm. With your fellow members (up to four players), you can build and manage your very own farm, complete with crops and livestock to look after. However, the game goes even further than that. Head to town and meet other characters, explore the world, and even get married. Live your own peaceful life with your fellow members in your dream homestead. It’s also available to download on Steam.

Minecraft

Minecraft is the quintessential multiplayer game. Build, design, explore, survive and live in your own creative world with your fellow members, block by block. Host your next Rotaract meeting while building your own castle or fighting off zombies. Explore the uniquely-generated world and discover areas with valuable minerals to get and secrets to find. The sky is the limit in this truly open-ended game. Minecraft is available on both PC and mobile devices, and can host multiple players.
