Lucena City, Philippines — Project PinaSmile, an extended initiative under LuzViMinda Give a Hand Year 9, was successfully implemented to promote oral health awareness and hygiene among children through education and basic dental care services.

The program integrated learning sessions with hands-on activities, allowing students to participate in discussions on proper oral hygiene practices. As part of the initiative, children received fluoride applications to help protect their teeth, along with toothbrushes and toothpaste to encourage consistent daily oral care.

Organizers noted that the activity aimed not only to improve dental health but also to build confidence and instill healthy habits among young learners.

The project was made possible through the collaboration of Rotaractors, dental professionals, and volunteers, who worked together to deliver services and facilitate the sessions.
Project PinaSmile forms part of broader efforts to support children’s health and well-being, reinforcing the importance of preventive care and community-based health initiatives.
