When Typhoon Tino and Typhoon Verbena swept through Negros, they did more than bend trees and flood roads—they disrupted the lives, homes, and spirits of countless Negrenses. Weeks after the storms had passed, the aftermath remained heavy. Communities from Moises Padilla to La Castellana, and all the way to Barangay Pahanocoy in Bacolod City, continued to feel the weight of loss, uncertainty, and slow recovery.

Yet in the middle of all this devastation, something stronger than any storm emerged—the spirit of collective compassion.

Under the banner of Tabang Negros, the Rotaract Club of Metro Bacolod united with RMN DYHB Bacolod 747 and Negros Island Rugby to deliver relief goods, essential supplies, and much-needed support to families still struggling to rebuild. What made this response remarkable was not just its wide reach, but its heart. Many Rotaractors themselves were typhoon victims, still dealing with damaged homes, flooded streets, and disrupted routines. Even with burdens of their own, they chose to carry others.

Tabang Negros became more than a relief effort—it became a testament to what service truly means: helping even when you are hurting, showing up even when you are tired, and giving even when tomorrow remains uncertain.

In every community visited, every family comforted, and every hand extended, one message rang clear:
Negros may bend, but it does not break.
Because when we rise, we rise together.
