Every November, Rotary and Rotaract members around the world come together to celebrate The Rotary Foundation (TRF)—the engine that drives the organization’s most impactful service initiatives. More than just a fund, the Foundation represents the shared spirit of generosity, compassion, and global citizenship that defines Rotary and its partners in service.
Since its establishment in 1917, The Rotary Foundation has transformed lives through projects that advance peace, fight disease, provide clean water and sanitation, support education, protect the environment, and strengthen local economies. Every contribution—no matter how small—helps turn visionary ideas into tangible results, improving lives and empowering communities across the globe.

Contributions fund a wide range of programs and initiatives, including Global and District Grants, Scholarships, and Peace Fellowships. These programs enable Rotary and Rotaract clubs to address real community needs and build sustainable solutions with measurable impact.

Empowering Rotaractors Through Grants
In recent years, Rotaractors have gained greater access to Rotary Foundation grants, a milestone that marks a new era of collaboration and empowerment. Through these grants, Rotaract clubs can expand the reach and sustainability of their service projects, ensuring that their ideas and initiatives receive the support they deserve.
Whether it’s funding literacy programs, community health campaigns, clean water systems, or environmental projects, Rotaractors can now apply for Global Grants (in partnership with Rotary clubs) or District Grants (with support from their district leadership). This access opens new opportunities to make meaningful, long-term contributions to their communities.
To access grants, Rotaract clubs are encouraged to:
- Collaborate with Rotary clubs for guidance and sponsorship.
- Align their projects with Rotary’s Areas of Focus to ensure eligibility.
- Attend grant management seminars and training to build the capacity needed for project planning, reporting, and sustainability.
