In the whirlwind of preparations leading up to Kasadya sa USC: A Student Organization Pop-up Fair (KSU), the Rotaract Club of Cebu Fuente – University of San Carlos found itself in a familiar but thrilling position: racing against time.

With only a week to prepare after a busy lineup of events, the team knew it was going to be a challenge. But instead of hesitation, they leaned into creativity, resourcefulness, and most importantly—teamwork.

Week of Welcome was filled with meaningful interactions and eager students as our officers enthusiastically answered questions and proudly shared how diverse and empowering our organization is.

The idea of a Barangay Hall-themed booth quickly came to life. Officers brought in items from home—curtains, file organizers, table organizers, even pegboards—to piece together what would eventually become one of the fair’s most talked-about set-ups. By Sunday before the event, the Downtown Campus booth was already buzzing with helping hands. By Monday, the Talamban Campus team was on the move, nervously setting up but determined to pull it off. And when August 3 arrived, the booth was ready to welcome the Carolinian community.

We proudly showcased the awards our organization has received—milestones that reflect our commitment to service and excellence.

It was clear from the start that this booth wasn’t just about winning—it was about creating moments that inspired and connected hearts. Students lined up to play games like “Balance the Coin” and “Shoot the Coin in the Shotglass” while aspiring members completed their fun “barangay clearance” missions to become official Carolinian Rotaractors. Laughter filled the air as spontaneous karaoke sessions broke out, led by the officers who turned downtime into mini concerts. Nearby organizations added to the festive atmosphere, sharing free ice cream, pizza, and donuts—proving that camaraderie extended beyond just one club.

The RACCF–USC booth at the TC campus was set up with a vibrant and festive display with a barangay hall aesthetic, featuring tote bags and an interactive puzzle board to engage students.

Of course, the journey wasn’t without its chaos. Day 1 felt like an “apocalypse” with the rush of students, the scramble to keep things in order, and the exhaustion of officers bouncing between campuses. Yet, the difficulties only fueled the team’s drive. No matter how tiring it was, every officer showed up—whether it meant staying the whole day, returning after classes, or simply bringing their energy to keep the booth alive. What could have been draining turned into moments of joy, especially when shared laughter, silly TikTok sessions, and heartfelt conversations filled the booth.

Vice President Internal Elle captured it best when she shared, “Everything that people saw from Day 1 to Day 3 was made possible because of the team’s hard work. Seeing people stop by our booth was already a big win in itself. What we share in RACCF-USC is so special because even while working seriously, we’re always sharing laughter.”

The booth weren’t just a sign of the organization’s presence but it served as a doorway for some students to become part of a change they wish to see.

By the end of the three-day fair, the RACCF-USC’s presence had made a mark. The booth became a safe and welcoming space where students didn’t just stop by to play games, but stayed to connect. Officers described it as a “family” they could always come back to after classes—proof that the real reward wasn’t just recognition, but the sense of belonging they built together.

Focused and determined — an aspirant completes her task, embracing the first steps of her Rotaract journey.

When the results were finally announced, RACCF-USC proudly claimed 2nd Place for Best Booth Award. The victory was celebrated not just as an achievement, but as a symbol of being united for good—a value that defined the team throughout the week.

Looking back, the award was simply the cherry on top of an already unforgettable journey. For the Rotaract Club of Cebu Fuente – University of San Carlos, Kasadya sa USC was more than just an event—it was a chapter that celebrated the spirit of service and the joy of fellowship. And as this chapter comes to a close, a new one begins—filled with even greater victories waiting to be written.
