RDLS 2025: Honoring the Past, Leading the Future in District 3770

In the historic grounds of Malolos, Bulacan—the birthplace of the First Philippine Republic—the Rotaract Club of Malolos Hiyas-Karatig proudly carried the honor of hosting the Rotaract District Learning Seminar (RDLS) 2025 on May 31, 2025. The event brought together 130 participants from 34 clubs of District 3770, turning the historic city into a living reminder of what leadership, courage, and unity can achieve.

RDLS 2025 was a reminder of the promises we carry in service. It called us back to the vows we made as Rotaractors: to serve with dedication, to uphold our commitments, and to carry the light of service wherever it is needed. It challenged us to strengthen our ties with Rotary, to overcome misconceptions, and to replace barriers with bridges. In every session, in every exchange, and in every heartfelt connection, we rediscovered what it means to belong to a movement larger than ourselves.

We were also guided by inspiring talks from our guest speakers:

PDRR Raquel Magtalas-Santos on Rotaract: Back to Basics
Pilipinas Rotaract MDIO Chair Stephen Leo Ferrera on Call to Action: Uniting for the Common Good
IPAG Setti Tanwangco on Navigating Rotary and Rotaract Relationships

After the event, we also had the opportunity to collaborate with MDIO Chair-Elect Stephen Leo T. Ferrera in recording the national anthem for District 3770—a meaningful addition that carried forward the spirit of unity and service beyond the seminar itself.

This year’s Rotary theme, Unite for Good, gave deeper meaning to the entire event. Unity was not just talked about—it was lived. We saw it in the friendships formed, in the teamwork across clubs, and in the way we came together despite our differences. RDLS showed us that when we are united, we are stronger, braver, and able to do so much more.

For RACMH-K, this was not simply an event. It was a milestone written into the pages of our journey. We have carried the weight of uncertainties, the silence of doubts, and the quiet battles of wondering if we could ever rise to our full potential. There were times when the dream of hosting something as grand as RDLS felt distant, almost unreachable. Yet, as we stood surrounded by fellow Rotaractors, that once-distant dream had finally come alive.

What was once a vision far away has now become a reality we will forever carry with us. And as we move forward, we do so with renewed courage, guided by the promise of unity, and fueled by the hope that together, we can lead the future.
