Water supply project scheme badged gold distinction during IRS’ project proposal making contest

Among all the 9 participating groups in the Project Proposal Making Contest of the International Rotaract Summit 2023, it was Group 7 with a project proposal title ”Water is Life: A Station We Strive.”

This project plan of group 7, which is focused on Water, Sanitation and Hygiene, aims to provide a reliable, clean water supply that would enable Brgy. Capalayan, Surigao City by constructing additional three faucets for the main source of water for three hundred (300) families and build a waiting shed for the safety of the residents.

Past President Adrian D. Sto. Domingo confers the Best Presenter Award to Pres. Victoria Stephanie Formoso.

As stated by President Victoria Stephanie Formoso, who was awarded as best presenter, the host Rotaractors of this project will take charge in planning, organizing, and budgeting the money that will be provided and allocated and will also be in constant communication with the barangay officials and community.

Meanwhile, Construction of Sitio Malaikmo Learning Center placed second and Road to Zero: A Zero Open Defecation Program ranked third among all the entries. Rtr. Bryan Danug from Rotary International District 3780 was dubbed as Most Dynamic Rotaractor. The winning teams of this competition will get cash prizes as the capital venture for their plans and trophies on May 20 at GEAR Awards.

Rotaractors from all over the districts in Asia-Pacific smile as they have a photo opportunity at Cultural Night.

Charter President Luis Santiago II Hidalgo and Past President Adrian D. Sto. Domingo, who were the chairperson and vice-chairperson of the Summit extended their gratitude to all the delegates, partner clubs, committee members, and other activity proponents.

The host club during the Cultural Night of IRS 2023 was Rotaract Club of Tanauan.
