LUCENA CITY — The Rotaract Club of Lucena South took to the airwaves on March 10 through a radio guesting with Radyo Pilipinas Lucena in partnership with the Philippine Information Agency Quezon to share its ongoing projects and upcoming milestones.
During the program, Club President Luigi Oblena and President Nominee Crizelle Belomonte discussed preparations for the club’s Silver Charter Anniversary, marking 25 years of service in the community. They also highlighted activities lined up for the celebration of World Rotaract Week, emphasizing the organization’s continued commitment to service and youth leadership.
In line with the observance of Women’s Month, the club leaders shared their recent initiative to empower women in Lucena through free cervical health services and screenings. The effort aimed to raise awareness on women’s health while providing accessible preventive care to the community.
Oblena also underscored the club’s flagship project for the Rotary Year, “Give A Hand,” a community-based initiative focused on conducting free assessments for SNED (Special Needs Education) students of East VII Elementary School. The project gained support from partner Rotaract clubs across Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao, reflecting a collaborative approach to inclusive education.
The radio guesting served as a platform to inform the public about the club’s advocacies and encourage community participation in its upcoming programs.
