The Rotaract Clubs of Rotary International District 3810 successfully marked the opening of World Rotaract Week 2026 through a meaningful and service-driven ceremony held last March 8, 2026, at the Pasay City Central Fire Station. The event was hosted by RAC Cavite Glowing Youth, RAC Chinatown-Manila, RAC Manila Metro, RAC Polytechnic University of the Philippines, and RAC Raha Sulayman Volunteers, carrying the theme “Igniting the Service Within WRW 2026,” in line with this year’s celebration, “United by the Gods, Strengthened by Diversity.”

Inspired by Hestia, the Greek goddess of fire and the sacred hearth, the ceremony symbolized the inner flame of unity, passion, and dedication that drives every Rotaractor to serve their communities with purpose. The activity emphasized the importance of collaboration, leadership, and strengthening partnerships, especially with frontline responders who continuously ensure public safety.

In partnership with the Bureau of Fire Protection – Pasay Central Fire Station, participants actively took part in the Fire Square Roadshow. This hands-on experience allowed Rotaractors to enhance their knowledge and skills in fire safety, including fire equipment familiarization, Basic Life Support (BLS), proper fire extinguishing techniques, and essential fire prevention practices. The activity reinforced the value of preparedness and quick response in times of emergencies.

In line with the celebration of International Women’s Day, the event also recognized and honored the dedication and invaluable contributions of women in the fire service. Their courage and commitment in protecting lives and communities served as an inspiration to all participants.

As World Rotaract Week 2026 commenced, the event set a strong and inspiring tone for the days ahead. Rotaractors were reminded of their shared mission—to ignite the flame of service, remain united in purpose, and be strengthened by diversity as they continue to create meaningful impact in their communities.
