In a remarkable display of compassion and community solidarity, the Rotaract Club of Ipil Sibugay has extended vital support to families affected by Typhoon Tino through the #BangonNegros campaign last November 11, 2025.
Recognizing the urgent needs of those impacted by the typhoon, the club mobilized its members and local supporters to contribute essential relief items, including used clothes, monetary donations, and in-kind goods such as groceries and slippers, ensuring a multi-faceted approach to aid and recovery.

The initiative encouraged community members to donate both tangible items and financial resources. Monetary contributions were thoughtfully allocated to purchase grocery items and basic necessities, ensuring that the relief efforts addressed the most pressing needs of affected families. Used clothes and other in-kind donations were carefully collected, sorted, and prepared to bring comfort to those who had lost their homes or belongings during the storm.

A key figure in the campaign’s success is Ms. Josie Chan, a dedicated volunteer who has generously offered to facilitate the shipping and distribution of all collected donations directly to communities in Negros. Her commitment to personally oversee the delivery ensured that aid reached the right hands efficiently and safely.
Through her involvement, the initiative demonstrated a seamless partnership between local organizations and volunteers, highlighting the importance of collaborative action during times of crisis.

The response from our members and supporters has been heartwarming. We are proud to contribute in a way that directly benefits families struggling to rebuild their lives. The club emphasized that this effort was not only about providing material aid but also about inspiring hope and reinforcing the Filipino spirit of bayanihan, where communities unite to support one another in times of need.
The #BangonNegros campaign serves as a reminder of the critical role civic organizations play in disaster response and recovery. Beyond immediate relief, the initiative also seeks to raise awareness about the importance of preparedness, empathy, and collective responsibility in mitigating the impact of natural disasters.

Through these efforts, the Rotaract Club of Ipil Sibugay has reaffirmed its commitment to community service, demonstrating that even small acts of kindness can create a ripple effect of positive change. By engaging members, volunteers, and the broader public, the club continues to foster a culture of generosity, resilience, and proactive civic engagement, offering a lifeline to those affected by Typhoon Tino and inspiring others to take part in rebuilding and recovery efforts.
Through shared effort and unwavering dedication, communities can rise stronger, united by empathy, action, and hope.
Together, we connect!
