On July 5, 2025, the Rotaract Club of Lucena South conducted Project A.L.E.R.T. – Awareness in Life-saving Emergency Response Talk at the Covered Court of Barangay Gulang-Gulang, Lucena City.

This half-day orientation focused on equipping barangay tanods—our community’s frontline responders—with fundamental knowledge in Basic Life Support (BLS), including Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), first aid, and emergency response procedures.

The session was led by experienced resource speakers from the Lucena City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (DRRMO):
• Ms. Kristine A. Galeon, RN
• Mr. Albert D. Del Rosario, EMT

Through hands-on demonstrations and practical guidance, the speakers empowered participants with the confidence and competence to act swiftly and responsibly during real-life emergencies.

Through Project A.L.E.R.T., the Rotaract Club of Lucena South reinforces the vital role of grassroots responders in strengthening community safety and disaster preparedness. When training meets purpose, it creates a ripple effect—one that strengthens the fabric of local emergency response systems.
