In celebration of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the Rotaract Club of Lucena South (RAC LS) launched “Fuschia Naman!” on October 28, 2025, at Barangay Marketview, Lucena City — a heartfelt initiative dedicated to promoting women’s health and early cancer detection.
Partnering with the Quezon Provincial Health Office, the project gathered over 30 women from the community for an engaging awareness talk and free breast cancer screening. The event aimed to educate participants on the importance of regular check-ups, recognizing early symptoms, and fostering a proactive attitude toward personal health.
Health professionals from the Provincial Health Office facilitated the session, providing valuable insights and practical advice, while RAC Lucena South members assisted in organizing, facilitating, and offering moral support to participants throughout the activity. The atmosphere was filled with warmth and empowerment, creating a safe and supportive space for women to learn, ask questions, and share experiences.
“Fuschia Naman!” symbolizes both strength and compassion — a reminder that awareness saves lives and that community care begins with education. By blending Rotary’s principles of service with advocacy for women’s wellness, the project exemplifies how simple initiatives can create lasting impact.
