Project We Smiles: Creating Young and Healthy Teeth was successfully conducted on December 13, 2025, at Barangay 33, Tondo, Manila, with the goal of promoting proper oral health among children. The project focused on preventive dental care and early education as essential steps toward building lifelong healthy habits. A total of 30 children from the community benefited from free dental fluoride cleaning, a preventive measure known to strengthen teeth and reduce the risk of cavities. Along with the dental service, each child was provided with a toothbrush and toothpaste to support consistent oral hygiene at home.
The distribution of these dental kits emphasized the importance of daily brushing as a simple yet powerful practice for maintaining overall health. Volunteers took time to guide the children on proper brushing techniques in an engaging and age-appropriate manner.

The activity was made possible through the collaboration of committed partner organizations. The Rotary Club of Quezon City MediaTech provided valuable support in ensuring the smooth delivery of the dental services. Student leaders and volunteers from the UE Manila Student Council, UE Sandigan, and the TUP University Student Government actively participated in the planning and on-ground implementation of the project.
Their collective efforts reflected a strong spirit of service, leadership, and social responsibility. The presence of student volunteers also created a warm and encouraging environment for the young beneficiaries. Parents and community members expressed their appreciation for the initiative, recognizing its positive impact on their children’s health and well-being.

Beyond dental care, Project We Smiles served as a reminder of the power of partnership in addressing community needs. The project not only brought healthier smiles to the children of Barangay 33 but also strengthened community engagement and awareness. Through initiatives like this, meaningful change is achieved—one smile at a time.
