The Rotaract Club of Manila Metro proudly presents “Sinag ng Pagbasa at Pagsulat,” the flagship Basic Education and Literacy project under our Metro LEARN Program. Now in its 4th year, this service initiative is dedicated to addressing low reading proficiency among incoming high school students, providing them with the foundation they need to succeed in their academic journey.
Happening from June 9–13, 2025 at Signal Village National High School, Taguig City, the project will benefit 100 student participants who struggle with reading and writing skills. While these learners possess great potential, many face literacy barriers that can hinder their performance in secondary school. Through early reading interventions, personalized tutorials, and engaging literacy sessions, the program will help strengthen their comprehension, fluency, and writing confidence.
As part of Brigada Eskwela 2025, this project reflects the spirit of collaboration—bringing together Rotaractors, educators, parents, and partner organizations to prepare young learners for the upcoming school year. Beyond improving literacy rates, Sinag ng Pagbasa at Pagsulat seeks to instill a lifelong love for learning and empower students to believe in their capabilities.
