There is no right way to start a new year. But in Rotary and Rotaract, the new year comes with celebration and transfer of leadership.
Last June 10, 2023, the Rotaract Club of Cebu had the 10th Officers’ Induction and Handover Ceremonies, where the first female President and the next generation of officers was inducted.
The 10th Officers’ Induction and Handover Ceremonies featured exemplary keynote speakers: PP Pedro “Pete” Delantar shared the club’s humble beginnings and milestones of the Club’s 9-year journey.
Balbino “Ka Bino” Guerero Jr. expressed the need for taking the first steps to sustainable tourism, and Rtn. Dann Diez of RC Metro Cebu engaged the audience into action and advocacy through his line of work at SEED4Com as its Executive Director.
In his Valedictory Address, Imaginative President June Anthony O. Doble expressed his utmost gratitude and support to the club and the Rotary Club of Cebu for a fruitful Imaginative Year. His term is defined by the Club reaching the communities in drops rippling into sustainable change. IPP June commended the Imaginative Officers for their extraordinary contributions and unyielding dedication.
The most significant part of the event is the charging of Hope-Creating President Anna Suzzane Miscala (Zane). She was charged by DRFC Stephen P. Chian and inducted by DRR Remuel M. Coles. Meanwhile, the Hope-Creating Officers were charged by DRR Rem and were inducted by ADRR for Cebu Council, Mark A. Valencia. Coincidental with the event’s namesake, everyone in the venue cheered on and sang along to Oh! Caraga’s “Ipanumpa Ko” as the fellowship song of the night.
With the conclusion of Pagpanumpa, the Hope-Creating Team of the Rotaract Club of Cebu, composed of next generation leaders, advocates, and servants, is ready to Create Hope in the World for Rotary Year 2023- 2024.
