The Rotaract Club of Pasig Sunrise sparked an imaginative hope for our friends, students from the Dumagat tribe in Calawis, Antipolo Rizal, on July 23, 2023. This one-day event addresses the needs of the said tribe especially the basic services that are still inaccessible for most of them.

Gathering of consent form for minors who wants to avail tooth extractions and free circumcision

Over a hundred students and adults received amazing service from the Rotary Club of Pasig Sunrise. This service project hinges on different areas of focus. For the feeding program, a total of 150 adults and 100 students received a meal upholding the spirit of Maternal and Child Health. Medical and dental checkups, including distribution of vitamins and medicine, tooth extractions and free circumcision were likewise offered free on the said day highlighting the Disease Prevention and Treatment. And to care for the environment, tree planting activities were also conducted in Calawis, Antipolo, Rizal. Indeed, it was a hope-creating Rotaract Service Day.

Moreover, the Rotaract Club of Pasig Sunrise had story-telling activities while waiting for their turn to receive vitamins and/or other services. This was facilitated by the Rotaract Club of Palatiw Scholar and the Rotaract Club of Lakeshore Rizal. We also turned over books and uniforms to our school beneficiary. This begets focus for Basic Education and Literacy.

The success of this project is not only attributed to our Club as our Mother Club, the Rotary Club of Pasig Sunrise played a pivotal role to make all of these happen. Our sincerest gratitude to RC Pasig Sunrise and to our partner clubs, the Rotaract Club of Palatiw Scholar and the Rotaract Club of Lakeshore Rizal.

Although we have different affiliations, we were united by our eagerness and dedication to serve the Dumagat community.
