The Rotaract Club of Manila formally inducted its new set of officers and new members during the 21st Handover and 22nd Induction Ceremonies held on September 25, 2021.

With this year’s theme, “Serve to Change Lives,” the new officers take on the challenge of being more involved in service projects and being leaders of positive change. “Our Rotaract Manila promise is to strengthen our livelihood program with Young Focus and to support the government’s vaccination efforts here in the Philippines,” shared Life Changing President Abigael Joyce Sarmiento.

Among those who celebrated with the Club is Philippine Vice President Leni Robredo, who urged the Rotaractors to take action – specifically, action that is “effective, urgent, concrete, driven by grit and grace and compassionate resolve” to build a better, fairer, and more equitable world.

Immediate Past Rotary International President Holger Knaack also graced the event and challenged Rotaract Manila members and officers: “I’m asking you to be really bold, to go out and be loud, because we need your input. We need your creativity. We need your voice. We need your leadership. We need your vision. Show the Rotary world what your vision in Rotaract is.”

The event was filled with positivity as attendees participated in sharing happy stories, joining the raffle, giving toasts, and sharing special messages. It was attended by more than seventy people including current and past officers and members, representatives from various Rotary and Rotaract clubs, and program beneficiaries.
