The Rotaract Club and Interact club of Hundred Islands had their Turnover of books in the Mayor’s office in celebration of the opening of the City Library in Alaminos City, Pangasinan.

With over 80 books (Academic books, story books, and Encyclopedias) donated, they wish to reach more people through City Mayor Arth Bryan Celeste’s Office.

“So far, we’ve donated over hundreds of books to different schools since my term. I do not see this series ending,” Rotaract President Clarissa Rose Alcaparras said. They’ve put down the books at the office as the Mayor and Club Director Marites Bravo exchange words of appreciation.

The Rotaract and Interact Clubs have a long tradition of projects that benefit students and teachers to strengthen the community’s connection to its people. While this event draws people of the society to read and learn, officers of the said club continue to work on projects that benefit the community and also let their members experience the pleasure that comes from lending a hand.

We knew that not even the Pandemic could not stop us from serving the community, but being careful and being conscious would be absolutely necessary. Still, health protocols and social distancing were observed during the event. Wearing of face masks and face shields were required to maintain self cleanliness.

Along with the support of the following donors: Ms. Maria Deneb B. Humilde, Mr. & Mrs. Gerard & Inamar Caasi Villanueva, members of the Rotaract and Interact, and with the guidance of Director Marites Bravo, the project had been a breakthrough for all.
