Busybee collaborates with Rotaract to promote Digitalization

With the changes and disruption brought by the CoVid-19 pandemic, the necessity of digitalization from corporate meetings and events to business operations and strategies is essential now more than ever. Last July 22, a webinar entitled “Coping with the Accelerated Digitalization: Empowering Organizations with Digital Tools” was launched and organized by one of the top digital and media giants, BusyBee. 

BusyBee’s mission is to help individuals and businesses make the switch to digital, continue to deliver public services during this time of crisis and even beyond, and ensure business continuity. A vision to provide and equip businesses and organizations with knowledge and tools for digitalization paved the way to launch their webinar. This 3-series event is in partnership with the Rotaract Club of San Antonio de Padua, Junior Chamber International Pasay Perlas, Rotary Club of Alabang Madrigal Business Park, Asian-African Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and the ASEAN Youth Organization. This collaborative event was hosted by BusyBee’s associates Mr. Ellirie Aviles and Chryssta Cordovez, and yours truly, Past President Krystene Bello of the Rotaract Club of San Antonio de Padua and official media partners Inquirer.NET, The Philippine Star, Business World, ABS-CBN News Channel, DZMM Teleradyo, and Wheninmanila.com.

During the first session, we were joined by the Commissioner for National Economic Development Authority, Dr. Dexter Galban, Zagana Founder and CEO Mr. Joshua Aragon, and the head of the AI Chatbot development team of MyBusybee, Inc, Mr. Bench Cosme. The discussion revolved around the importance of the channels that we use in getting our messages across designated audiences, the strategies of business start-ups during the pandemic era, and the convenience and advantage of technology through the innovations brought by Artificial Intelligence.  

The second session welcomed guest speakers Supervising STIDS of the Digital Philippines-Ecommerce Division of DTI Philippines Wea Bohol, Lamudi Group Philippines CEO Kenneth Stern, and the Chief Operating Officer of the Tourism Promotions Board Philippines Atty. Maria Anthonette Velasco-Allones. With an interactive discussion on e-commerce, real estate, and tourism in the Philippines.

Rounding up the sessions were invited panelists and speakers from the Department of Information and Communications Technology, Busybee’s Cyber Security Division, and the Data Security and Technology Standards Division of the National Privacy Commission (NPC) with a discussion focusing on cybersecurity in the Philippines and securing information online in our last session recently held this August 12.

The event was a tremendous success, bridging all community sectors beginning with the business and private entities to the national government to the socio-civic organization in an informative and interactive discussion garnering positive feedback from its viewers with more than 150 participants. BusyBee CEO Rico Hernandez also announced to all participants that this is only the beginning for these educational forums and that BusyBee is committed to its mission.
