A powerful step toward sustainable and community-driven development was ignited in Barangay Camanga with the launch of Project SINAG: Sparkling Impact through Solar Lights. As solar lights began to illuminate the community, they symbolized more than just brightness—they reflected hope, progress, and opportunity for every resident.
More than an infrastructure initiative, Project SINAG serves as a beacon of change, proving how clean and renewable energy can light the path toward safer streets, empowered communities, and a brighter future for all.

For years, residents of Barangay Camanga have faced the challenges of inadequate public lighting. Dimly lit streets and dangerous blind curves have made nighttime travel risky, limiting mobility and increasing vulnerability to accidents and crime. These everyday struggles underscored a pressing need for a reliable and sustainable solution.
Project SINAG answered that call.

By harnessing the power of solar energy, the initiative introduced an innovative, cost-effective, and environmentally friendly approach to public lighting. Solar-powered street lights now stand where darkness once dominated, offering not only illumination but also renewed confidence among community members. With no added electricity costs, these lights provide consistent brightness while promoting long-term sustainability.

A site visit on February 28, 2026, reaffirmed the project’s impact. What was once a proposal had become a visible transformation, a proof that clean energy solutions can drive real change at the grassroots level. The installation of solar lights has already begun to reshape daily life, making streets safer and nights more navigable.

The journey reached a meaningful milestone on March 14, 2026, during the official turnover and Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signing of the three solar street lights to the beneficiaries. This moment symbolized more than completion, it marked the beginning of shared responsibility and continued collaboration between stakeholders and the community.

Project SINAG is more than a lighting initiative. It is a beacon of hope, a testament to what can be achieved when innovation meets purpose. By illuminating roads, it also lights the path toward empowerment, safety, and environmental stewardship. In Barangay Camanga, the night is no longer a barrier—it is now a space filled with possibility.
