Speech Quest 2025: Empowering Young Leaders in Public Speaking

The Pilipinas Rotaract Multi-District Information Organization (MDIO) concluded its premier virtual public speaking development program, Speech Quest 2025, with resounding success. This initiative was strategically designed to empower young leaders across the ten Rotary International Districts in the Philippines, focusing on enhancing their skills in public speaking, critical thinking, and effective communication.

Held virtually to ensure wide reach and accessibility for Rotaractors nationwide, the program served as a vital platform for equipping future leaders with essential professional and interpersonal skills.

Our 180 registered Rotaractors were treated to an engaging and comprehensive learning session. We were honored to have 10 outstanding Toastmaster coaches guiding our participants, providing them with the tools to communicate with impact and confidence.

Building upon the achievements of its inaugural year, the 2025 edition sought to offer a more engaging and comprehensive experience. Organizers emphasized that in today’s dynamic global landscape, effective communication is a cornerstone of leadership. The program fostered a competitive yet supportive environment where young leaders could hone their oratory skills, develop confidence, and articulate their ideas with impact.

A major highlight was the creative presentation by our keynote speaker, DTM Neb Perez. He shared his personal journey, illustrating how even the most soft-spoken individuals can find the courage to speak up. His story served as a powerful reminder that with the right platform and training—like that provided by Pilipinas MDIO—anyone can become a master communicator.

Key to the program’s success was the collaboration of its core partners: the Rotary Club of Laguna Bel Air, the Rotaract Club of Pakil Baybay Premier, and the Mabuhay Toastmasters Club—each contributing expertise in mentorship, leadership training, and public speaking excellence.

The skill-enhancement webinar attracted participation from over 180 Rotaractors nationwide. From this significant pool of talent, ten (10) Rotaractors distinguished themselves and advanced to the final rounds.
