On the vibrant afternoon of October 30, 2025, the usually calm streets of San Miguel transformed into a lively trail of runners, cheerers, and changemakers. The Rotaract Club of San Miguel de Mayumo, in collaboration with the Rotary Club of San Miguel, led this year’s End Polio Run 2025—a powerful initiative that proved running can go beyond the finish line and reach hearts around the world.

Over 200 participants—from students and professionals to local officials and families—gathered not only to exercise but to embrace a cause that continues to define Rotary’s mission: to end polio once and for all. With every stride, they carried a shared purpose—to be part of history, to be part of hope.

As the afternoon sun began to set, its golden light danced across the determined faces crossing the finish line. Some ran for advocacy, others for family, but everyone ran for humanity. The air was filled with cheers, laughter, and a shared sense of fulfillment—proof that when communities come together, the impossible becomes achievable.

Beyond the kilometers conquered and medals earned, the true victory of the day lay in unity. The event reminded everyone that compassion and collective action can change the world one step at a time.

Indeed, the End Polio Run 2025 was not just a run—it was a movement. A testament that when hearts beat as one, we can make a lasting difference. And as the Rotaract Club of San Miguel de Mayumo continues to serve with purpose, it carries forward Rotary’s spirit this year—to Unite for Good—and to keep running toward a future where no child will ever again be touched by polio.
