The Rotaract Club of Rizal Premier, in partnership with Soroptimist International Manila Gold, proudly carried out the Sipit ng Kinabukasan Project in the province of Marinduque, a community where children show extraordinary resilience in their pursuit of education. Every day, young learners of Hinadharan Elementary school walk long distances, crossing rivers and climbing mountains, just to reach their classrooms. Many of them do so barefoot, exposing themselves to sharp stones, muddy trails, and possible injuries.

To help ease this daily journey, the project distributed 45 pairs of slippers to the students of Hinadharan Elementary School. While a pair of slippers may seem like a small gesture, to these children it is a source of protection, comfort, and motivation. Each pair not only safeguards their feet but also symbolizes care, hope, and the belief that their dreams are worth every step.

The smiles on the faces of the children reflected the true impact of this initiative. Teachers and parents, who continuously guide and encourage the students, also expressed their gratitude. Their unwavering dedication, combined with the support of organizations like the Rotaract Club of Rizal Premier and Soroptimist International Manila Gold, creates a nurturing environment where young learners can thrive despite the challenges of their environment.

Through the Sipit ng Kinabukasan Project, the Rotaract Club of Rizal Premier reaffirms its mission of “Service Above Self.” It stands as a reminder that even the simplest acts of kindness can create ripples of lasting change. Indeed, each slipper given is more than just footwear—it is a step towards dignity, opportunity, and a brighter future for every child in Marinduque.
