PROCON at the Queen City of the South

Cebu, often hailed as the pride of the Visayas, boasts a plethora of attractions, historical significance, and delectable cuisine. Yet, amidst all these treasures, it’s the heart and warmth of its residents, the Cebuanos, that truly stand out.

Among these vibrant individuals, Cebuano Rotaractors shine brightly. Known for their boundless enthusiasm, friendliness, and open arms, they exemplified these qualities during the 12th Pilipinas Rotaract Convention held from February 16-18, 2024, at the Waterfront Hotel and Casino in Cebu City.

Hosted by the Rotaract Club of Metro Cebu and Rotaract Club of Metro Cebu – CIT-U Chapter of ‘The Most Festive District’, Rotary International District 3860, this convention brought together Rotaractors from across the Philippines for three meaningful days and two incredibly fun nights of camaraderie, fellowship, and excitement.

The event was well-executed, with a swift registration process and coordinated check-ins, setting the stage for an unforgettable experience. As attendees prepared for the evening festivities, they effortlessly connected and bonded, forming new friendships through the spirit of fellowship that permeated the entire gathering.

As the sun rose on the second day, delegates eagerly joined the Walk to End Polio. Following this inspiring event, the plenary sessions commenced, featuring esteemed keynote speakers whose wisdom, insights, and motivating words strengthened the delegates’ dedication to the organization’s noble causes.

Meanwhile, delegates from outside Cebu were treated to an afternoon city tour, offering them a glimpse of the city’s rich culture and allowing them to purchase souvenirs before the highly anticipated Y2K evening party.

On the final day, delegates convened for a Twin Club Signing Day, where representatives from various clubs formalized their commitment to fostering friendship, fellowship, and fun with neighboring Rotaract clubs.

With the exchanging of tokens and sweet remembrances to hold onto, we bid our goodbye to the 12th Pilipinas Rotaract Convention and eagerly anticipate the next national gathering and the 13th Pilipinas Rotaract Convention where we will all reunite as One Country, One Rotaract.
