Have you taken a moment to reflect on those trying periods in your life? Do you still recall how tough those times were and how vulnerable, helpless, and surrendered you felt? Do you still have any memories of those by your side? Your motivation to try again, to challenge yourself once more, and to rise above your uncertainties comes from those who supported your hope for a better tomorrow and inspired you to overcome your obstacles, helped you when you needed it most financially and emotionally or shared your load of problems and guided you back on track.
Such difficulties have befallen me. My appreciation to those who have not abandoned me and have supported me when I was on the verge of giving up, to those who have pushed me to believe that I deserve better in life, to those who have offered their skills and incentives, and to those who have shared their unending love. I would like to pay it forward and be the one to promote hope, much like the hope that was kept burning by those important persons in my life.
I have seen several life-changing initiatives that Rotary International has provided to our community since I first became a Rotaractor 15 years ago, and I continue to see them today as a Rotarian. As a proud partner in this organization’s work, I hereby pledge to continue providing my knowledge and my willingness to give back to my community, as well as to continue encouraging young professionals to take initiatives that will help them reach their full potential in the professions they have chosen.
The days I was in pressure to give up my profession. Due to the scare of what ifs in this healthcare profession here in the Philippines. Basically the returns and benefits doesn’t equate to the hazard it can give to me and to my significant others.
