A New Page Unfolds

As the Changemaker year comes to an end, a new page of Imagineering year unfolds.

DIWANAG or “Diwan nga Masanag”, is a community’s merry-making featuring colorful lights and decorations. This was the very inspiration of the District Conference (DISCON) of the Rotaract Clubs of District 3870 held in Iligan City, Lanao Del Norte. The celebration was filled with colorful dresses as the Rotaractors and Interators were garbed with their Crazy Rich Asian-inspired coutures from the 2018 American romantic comedy-drama film.

WAYS FORWARD. The President-Elects from the different Rotaract and Interact Clubs of the District 3870 in their wacky photo opportunity.

Graced by the presence of 4 Zones with 21 Rotaract and Interact Clubs, the District 3870 spent the night with sumptuous food in an elegant and sophisticated suite at the heart of the “City of Majestic Waterfalls”. During the DRR’s Night: The Final Show,  Rotaract clubs received their much-deserved awards presented by the District Rotaract Representative Al Rean Rey R. Nuenay as recognitions to their efforts that made this Rotary year a fruitful Changemaker Year.

A NEW CHAPTER UNFOLDS. The outgoing DRR Al Rean Rey R. Nuenay officially turned over the gavel and the district banner, and officialy pinned his successor — DRR Stephen Ferrera.

The conference was not just a celebration of awards and achievements but also a festivity of diversity, instilling inclusivity among members across any gender, ethnicity, and status.  While individuals are diverse in many things, their hearts may still beat identically. Although some may have just met for the first time, the passion for service will surely strengthen the bonds that was formed that night.

A POSE OF SUCCESS. The awardees received their trophies during the DRR’s Night District Awards.

The DIWANAG echoed powerful, inspiring and life-changing stories of success through community-building and service. It is a book that tells us that not all heroes wear capes, sometimes they’re just Rotaractors —heroes that will continue writing the story.

DESERVE. The outgoing DRR Al Rean Rey R. Nuenay imposed the medal to an outstanding Rotaractor of the district.
